Well, Greater Vancouver Zoo....you were better than I thought. You exceeded my expectations- mostly because I kept my expectations very low, but my daughter loved your animals and your rocks, and because of that- I felt pleasantly surprised by all that you had to offer us on our first trip to see you.
When we first started exploring the zoo, Evelynn was mostly excited about all the rocks on the ground. She really likes rocks these days.
Then we started to see some cool animals...
.....we saw some monkeys....
...just a quick rehydration break in the middle of the sidewalk...
...then we saw the giraffes...
...and then Evelynn plopped down and fed some grass to the - uh- pig-like/armadillo-ish animal...
...then we picked some pretty flowers and smelled them...
...next we saw the llamas who were not shy at all...
...a little pony just her size...
...then Evelynn sat on the giant turtle. She was just as excited to see the fake animals as she was the real ones.
After a long, hot day at the zoo, Evelynn decided to just sit down and chill in the pathway.
