First Haircut!!!
Our strategy: be naked, sit on daddy's lap, eat a sucker and watch a video on the i-pod......and it was a success! I didn't really want to trim Evelynn's hair because I love love love her curls, but it was becoming more and more of a mangled mess in the back, and the more mangled the hair ; the more screaming and squirming I must endure when I try to brush out the mess. (Mom, does this sound familiar???)
It was time.
And, the curls are still there. phewf.
Time for the big girl bed! Here is Daddy taking apart the crib. We decided to go with the black and white toddler approach on this transition: no crib = no going back.
First night in a big girl bed!!! This was actually a big moment for both Scott and I. After we put her to bed, we could not stop talking about our baby girl sleeping in her big girl bed.
Evelynn was a bit scared at first, so Scott told her she could pick her nose if that would make her feel better. She loves picking her nose (notice in the picture). And it did make her feel better. Weird? Yes. But it worked =)

Thought she looked like she had a haircut in the new pictures from Melody. And a big girl bed! So many firsts. OK, so you don't have to share everything that Evelynn does. . . like picking her nose as a form of comfort! :-) Good think we all love her no matter what her social skills at this point.

I love the pick her nose part! It sounds so Aubyn to use this as a parenting tool. Funny, funny!
