December

We used to have these funny little toys when I was little. I remember my Mom and Dad suctioning them to their faces and I thought it was really funny. Now, I'm the funny Mom with blue plastic cars suctioned onto my face.

This is a new toy that Evelynn got for throwing away her soother! Yay! We are soother-free, and it was surprisingly easy.

Evelynn's first gingerbread house!

I think she ate one candy in between every single one that she placed on the house. In this picture, she is looking at me making sure that I am actually letting her eat this much candy!

The finished house!

Here is the creative genius behind our gingerbread house. I love this look on her face! It is her "I am so proud of myself but I want to look cool, and I really love being naked" face.

More fun with the little car thingies.

She is really happy when she gets all five of them on all five of her fingers.

The other day we bundled up and headed out for a walk in the snow. It reminded me of the past years when we have explored the snow...

And here is our snow beauty in 2010:

This is an example of what Evelynn's hair usually looks like in the morning =)

our TWO year old

Evelynn's Two year old Birthday Party!

Buddy the Bear welcomed everyone to Evelynn's birthday party.

We took all of Evelynn's little friends on a nature walk to look for "gold nuggets" (glitter covered rocks). It was quite the adventure.

Tractor rides with Papa!

Evelynn calls this her "hockey hat" and she adores it.

Blowing out the 2 candles on her sprinkle donut birthday cake.

Evelynn was super excited about getting to have juice boxes. I don't normally buy them for her, so she was loving this treat.

chiquita banana

I have to admit, I was very excited for Halloween this year. Last year, we were living in London in October, and the Brits don't do very much to celebrate Halloween. So, we didn't bother dressing Evelynn up in a costume. But this year, I was excited to come up with something for her to wear. A while ago, my sister and I came across these little Spanish dresses that my parents had given to us when we were little girls. And there it was; inspiration for Evelynn's chiquita banana costume. A trip to Wal Mart to purchase some $2 plastic fruit and a lot of hot glue and here's her costume!

We may have bribed her with a few smarties to keep the fruit hat on.

She really got into character.

Sorting through the loot at the end of the night. Not sure who is more excited: Evelynn or Scott.
