Day 5 of London

We are having a wonderful time here in London. In the past few days we have walked along the Thames River, seen the Tower of London, walked through the Tate Modern Museum, visited the National Portrait Gallery, toured St. Paul's Cathedral, seen Trafalgar Square, walked through China Town, and played a lot of games. Last night, Evelynn finally got the hang of the time change. She has been such a good baby; we just tote her all around in the stroller or the baby carrier and she just sleeps away. We think she keeps her eyes closed so much to focus on the sounds and the smells of London.

Evelynn and Cousin Rooke. He has been so sweet to her! Every time he sees her he comes up and gives her hugs.

Trafalgar Square. So beautiful!

Christmas in London

We made it to London! Evelynn did great on the plane, and thankfully there were no delays on our flights. Today was our first full day in London. We took the tube into the city and our first stop was Harrods.  Next we headed to a pub for lunch and then shopped at a great outdoor antique market. We are pretty tired because of the time change, but it is great to be here with my family and see this amazing city.

Bath time.

Riding the tube.

Chillin' in the stroller.

Waiting at the bus stop.

Big Daddy and Kaye-K loving on their grandaughter.

Before Scott goes to work every morning, we have play time in the bed with Evelynn. She is always so happy in the mornings, and loves to talk and smile with us. It is amazing how she recognizes our voices and can focus her eyes on us much longer now. If you know Scott, you will know that he must really love his baby girl to get up a bit early to play with her.
Currently, Scott is teaching her how to beat box and how to play air drums.

New camera!

My awesome husband gave me a new camera for my birthday this week! (It's a digital SLR camera - the Nikon D40) I have been wanting this camera for quite a while, and I am so excited to play around with it and learn how to use it. Here are a few pictures of my favorite little girl to photograph.

Evelynn's first visit with Santa.
Scott was wearing this lovely outfit for our lifegroup Christmas Party this week.

Evelynn loves having her mouth open. She's been smiling and "talking" a lot more recently. Her favorite words are "gggaaaaa" and "cccaaaaaa".

My blue eyed beauty.

Scott is teaching Evelynn the fine art of playing the organ.

Notice how her legs are nicely filling out =)

Scott put headphones on Evelynn for the first time, and she loved it!
(The tired look in Scott's eyes is from the pain medication he has to take for his ankle surgery!)

Talking.

Grinning.

Smiling!

She's growing!

"Peace."

About 5 years ago, Scott broke his ankle pretty badly, and had to get screws and metal plates put into his ankle. Well, after 4 years of being on the waiting list (one of the downfalls of socialized medicine), Scott finally got an appointment to get the screws and plates in his ankle removed. The surgery went really well, and here he is recovering and napping on the couch with his baby girl.

This is Evelynn's "official" one month photo. Evelynn had her one month check up at the doctor's last week and she now weighs 9 lbs. 15 oz. Almost 10 pounds! She also had a miraculous 4 in growth spurt! Ok, not really....it turns out that they measured her wrong at the hospital when she was born. At the hospital, they measured her at 19 in. , but at her doctor's appointment, she measured at 23 in! hmmmmm.....
And they don't measure fingers at the one month check up, but I sure would be curious how long her beautiful fingers are.

Our little inchworm

We took this video when Evelynn was about 2 weeks old and she was just starting to use her legs. Check our our strong little girl!

Our little Evelynn is one month old! Somehow she gets more beautiful every day. We are so thankful to have her in our lives. It's amazing how much God blesses us through her.

We got to go to Seattle to celebrate American Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. Scott and I have it good: 2 thanksgiving dinners every year.
