Mommy Graduates

I'm done!

This summer I finished my final year of school at UBC (University of British Columbia), and I finially got my teaching certificate. Yahoo!! My graduation was this week, and I was honored to have my sister, my nephew and my Nana come up for the ceremony. It felt wonderful to walk across the stage knowing that I am finally done with school, and that I never followed through with my many strong urges to drop out =) It also felt special to share the experience with my daughter! Somehow, everything is more special with Evelynn around.

It was so great to have Nana here for a visit to meet her newest great-grandchild.

Three weeks old!

Tomorrow at 10:22 pm, our baby girl turns 3 weeks old! It's hard to imagine that just 3 weeks ago, we were in the hospital meeting Evelynn for the very first time. In these short few weeks, we have loved getting to know our little girl. Here are a few interesting facts about Evelynn:

- Bath time = great fun. She loves sitting in the warm water. A few smiles and "bubbles" are sure to appear during bath time.

- One thing I have passed along to Evelynn is my long/akward/elegant fingers. I think I should name her hands as they seem to have personalities of their own. She's always putting her fingers in the funniest positions...almost like she's posing for us.

- Evelynn loves it when Daddy plays guitar for her.

- Thankfully, she usually sleeps 5-6 hours at night for us! Thanks Evelynn!
